Who we are
We are on a mission to prevent the decline of mental health in young people, so that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Our Story starts with Fin. Now a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Fin counts herself as privileged to have benefitted from private early access to mental health support as a teenager. Since then, it's been her life's purpose to improve access to early psychological support for everyone who needs it.
She spent over 20 years in the NHS and at Exeter and Oxford Universities practicing and researching the most effective approaches, and she's brought all of that to MindPsy. Along the way, great people -united in the mission - have joined her!
What we do

MindPsy is a 'first-of-kind' app. It passively monitors mental health behaviour through a young person’s smartphone, to really understand its user. Where it detects a decline in mental health, it reaches out as an individualised Ai Avatar to support the single most common factor across all mental health conditions: relationship to self, and others.

MindPsy’s interface uses ‘social simulation’ game environments, with mixed reality elements, to help scaffold compassionate relationships to self and others.
Sparking curiosity and delight in users, with opportunities to ‘level up’ as the conversation continues, MindPsy’s vision is that by scaffolding compassionate relationships online, we can transfer that compassionate approach to offline relationships; an antidote to the self-comparison perpetuated by social media.

Why?
Because 6 young people in every single class have a mental health disorder, yet less than 2 can access support. And because every week, the mental health of 600 young people declines to the point of needing crisis support.
We need to give young people the opportunity for effective early support to navigate life’s challenges. And it starts with improving their relationship to themselves, and others.
